- APEC and ASEAN-CER projects that have provided guidance on establishing and maintaining national enquiry points, addressed barriers to the effective operation of mutual recognition arrangements to facilitate trade, and investigations into the costs of compliance.
- Extensive national, regional and international network of contacts in many sectors built up over years as a recognised standards, conformity assessment and good regulatory practice expert.
Management of groups of international experts and stakeholders from governments, industry and consumer groups to revise and establish international standards on various aspects of conformity assessment (including supplier’s declaration of conformity (SDoC), testing, inspection, auditing, certification and accreditation). This required diplomacy, tact and negotiation skills and an understanding of underlying politics and interests.
